To order on the site, once you have found an item you’d like to buy click on “Add to Shopping Bag”. Then you can either “Continue Shopping” or “Proceed to Checkout”. Once you have made all your selections and put them in the Shopping Bag you can proceed to the Checkout which will bring you to the secure site where you can make the payment. Our payment system is provided by HSBC.

You can also order and pay by telephoning or faxing the shop (Tel: 0161 929 7345/07773 462 261). Opening is by appointment only.

We will need your personal details (name, address, telephone number etc.) and your credit or debit card details and of course, a description of the items you wish to purchase, including the price.

We accept most major credit and debit cards, including American Express.

Alternatively you can order and pay by post, send all your details and a cheque made payable to “Kitty Fisher’s Finds” to the shop (31a The Downs, Altrincham, Cheshire WA4 2QD).

The acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and Kitty Fisher’s Finds will be deemed to have taken place upon the despatch of the goods ordered by you.


The delivery fee on items suitable for normal posting (i.e. not furniture and mirrors) is £2.00 within the UK and Northern Ireland. Parcels can be sent to the Republic of Ireland for £8. You should expect most parcels to take 2-5 working days to arrive. Chandeliers can be sent by post at a cost of £25 but will take 1-2 weeks.

If you are ordering from outside the UK and Ireland please place your order as normal and we will give you a quote for delivery before taking any payment.

We can usually arrange to deliver larger items, such as furniture and mirrors, for a fee of around £30 to £50 depending on the location but this needs to be arranged and agreed on an individual basis. Please e-mail or telephone the shop to arrange this. If delivery of such items is required fairly local to the shop then we are happy to offer a free service.


In the unlikely event of your order arriving damaged, please contact us immediately with details of the damage and the state of the outer packaging.

We hope you will be delighted with your purchases but should you wish to return any item for any reason (we won’t quibble) please do inform us within 7 days and ensure we receive the returned goods within 14 days. Provided the goods are returned in perfect saleable condition we will be pleased to offer you a full refund of the cost of the item but not of the postage, unless the item was faulty. If you prefer we can offer you an exchange or a credit note. Please note that for reasons of hygiene it is not possible to return earrings.

You are responsible for the returned goods until they reach us, so please do pack the items very securely. We recommend you send it by insured registered delivery but if you prefer not to incur the extra expense do at the very least get a certificate of posting: This will provide you with the Royal Mail standard insurance cover – currently around £30 but do check for changes to this.

Please note that if you have benefited from an offer of free p&p and a returned item brings the value of your purchases below the amount required for free postage then the standard postage charge of £3.90 may be deducted from your refund.

We are more than happy to accept returned items at the shop if you happen to be coming this way but it will not usually be possible to issue the refund there and then.

Refunds can only be given to the original purchaser and not to the recipient of a gift.


Kitty Fisher’s Finds’ total liability for any claim howsoever arising shall not exceed the price of the goods supplied by Kitty Fisher’s Finds to the purchaser.

We reserve the right to reject any offer of purchase made by a potential customer at any time without supplying a reason.

In so far as it is in our power we will take all reasonable care to keep secure the details of your order and payment. In the absence of negligence on our part, we cannot be held liable for any loss you may incur if a third party gains unauthorised access to any data you provide when visiting or purchasing from our website.

Outside of those parties involved in satisfying your order (e.g. couriers) we will never pass on your details to third parties.
